Liturgical Composers Forum

Activities

The Liturgical Composers Forum is engaged in a number of activities:

Annual Forum in St. Louis

Every January the Forum meets in St. Louis for prayer, learning, discernment and socializing. This meeting is limited to full and associate members, and other invited guests.

As Music Heals Fund

"As Music Heals" was set up in March 2020 as a charitable fund to support church musicians who have been furloughed, laid off or terminated as a result of the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. The fund was initiated and is run by the Liturgical Composers Forum. For more information please see our sister site at AsMusicHeals.org.

Book Series

‘The Heart Of Our Music’ is a series of fascinating books on the art of liturgical composing written by members of the Forum, and published by Liturgical Press. (Available from Liturgical Press)

NPM Partnerships

Many of our members are also actively involved with the National Association of Pastoral Musicians (NPM) with whom we have engaged in partnership opportunities over the years. For example, at several NPM Conventions, the Liturgical Composers Forum facilitated the Composer breakouts, where NPM members were invited to submit an original composition to be positively critiqued by a panel of LCF composers.

The Liturgical Composers Forum is a non-profit 501(c)(3) exempt organization and a 509(a)(2) public charity based in St. Louis MO.
