NPM Composers' Forum | Submission Uploads

Welcome to the submission upload page for the Liturgical Composers Forum New Music Review, which will take place 2PM-4PM on Monday, July 8th, 2024 the NPM National Convention in Kansas City MO.

Please read the following submission guidelines carefully before uploading your file.

  • Submission deadline is midnight on Saturday, June 1. [NOW EXTENDED TO SUNDAY JUNE 9]
  • One submission per composer only please.
  • Members and Associates of the Liturgical Composers Forum are NOT eligible to submit.
  • You MUST be a paid attendee at the NPM Convention to participate.
  • Please DO NOT upload Finale or Sibelius files - PDF ONLY PLEASE!
  • You do not have to set your music with a computer notation program - scans of handwritten scores are welcome as long as they are clearly written and legible.
  • Please remove your name from your piece, and remember to include any performance notes, tempos etc. to aid in the performance of your piece.
  • Your music must be an original musical composition (not an arrangement of an existing tune) but it is permissible for it to be a setting of another author's hymn text, in which case this should be clearly indicated.
  • Your music must be unpublished, and not currently under review by a commercial publisher.
  • Your piece must be composed for use in Catholic Sung Liturgy and Rites - Responses, Psalms, Hymns, Acclamations, Litanies, etc. with the goal of congregational participation. No instrumental only compositions please.
  • We strongly encourage you to include keyboard accompaniment, not just a lead sheet. Also include choral harmony, if any, and other instrumental parts. The more you provide, the more there is for us to work on with you.
  • VERY IMPORTANT: You will be asked for your name and email address before you can upload your file - please ensure that you enter your email address accurately as this is our only way to contact you.
  • Because of time restraints we may not be able to include all music submitted for review. You will be contacted by a member of the Liturgical Composers Forum by late June whether or not your composition is selected.

Thank you for sharing your music with us!
